Happy Birthday Avery!

Today is Avery's 1st Birthday! I can't believe how fast the last year has gone. We are so blessed to have her in our family! Children are such a precious gift and I am so grateful we were entrusted to take care of this beautiful spirit. She is so happy and full of life. I love to see her personality coming through. I am so excited for the years ahead and to watch her grow.

On Saturday we had a birthday party for her with friends and family. She had a great time and got really spoiled. Here are a few pics.

Summer Fun

Well I guess it's about time I document a little of what we did this summer. I feel bad it has taken me so long. We had lots of fun this year. Here are a few highlights.

PICNIC
We took Avery on a picnic to the park in Santaquin. She loves being outside and it was a beautiful day. It's great when all three of us can be together.

REES FAMILY REUNION
We went to Loa this summer for a family reunion with my family. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up. It was loa days also, so we got to see the parade and go to the demolition derby. Avery loved it, although some of the cars were a little too loud.

Avery missed her morning nap, so she was a little tired.

In July we decided it was time we took Avery to the zoo. It was lots of fun. She loved to watch the animals.

Swimming

Last Friday it was finally warm enough to go swimming. We went with my sisters and their kids. I was so excited to take Avery and see how she would like it. I am glad to say that she absolutely loved the water. She had so much fun. It was great to watch her crawl and splash in the water. She couldn't get enough. I guess now I will have to get a pass to the pool and take her more often.

Update

Well I guess it's about time I do a little update on our family. Life has become a bit more crazy now that Avery is crawling everywhere. I have to keep a much closer eye on her, it's a little harder to get other things done at the same time. I finally had to finish baby proofing my house and get a gate to my stairs, since that seems to be her favorite place to crawl too. It's so fun to watch her though, she is so active and energetic. Which I love, because at night she is so worn out she sleeps great. We are also trying to get our yard finished, but it is not as easy as we first thought. We never seem to have any time, since we have different work schedules and it's not easy to do yard work and watch Avery at the same time without any help. But I know it will be finished eventually and I can't wait to have grass instead of dirt. Here are a few new pictures of Avery and a little video of her crawling.

6 Months Old

Avery turned 6 months old this month. She is growing so fast I can't believe it. It is so much fun to watch her learn new things. A few days ago I had her pictures taken and they turned out great. I love Kiddie Kandids. They were so good with her and I love the pictures.

Grandparents 65th Wedding Anniversary

A Couple weeks ago we went down to Loa to celebrate my Grandparents 65th wedding anniversary. They are such amazing people and are great examples. It's great to see they have stayed together so long when divorce is so prevalent in the world. We had so much fun seeing so many cousins and all my Aunts and Uncles. All of my brothers and sisters were able to come as well and my parent were able to see most of it over the computer. We had web cams set up so everyone was able to see and talk to them. It was great for them to be able to participate at least a little bit.
